Morning.
Breakfast.
School.
"... good morning." Sheri greeted the others in the morning. because of what had happened the night before, things were pretty awkward today.
"morning." Wan said, and Jean nodded.
"hey." Faye said, nudging Ryan and Theon. they looked at Wan and Jean and looked away.
"Um, yeah, hi."
"...hey..." soon Sheri could see the nervousness on their faces and she broke the irritating silence.
"look people. this is ridiculous. so Wan kept something to herself. nevermind, what she said benifited us, let's just forget it this time." Sheri said uncomfortably. everyone looked at her. Wan smiled a small smile and Jean stood up straighter.
"what Sheri said is right. you guys should be ashamed of yourself, still angry at Wan."Faye scolded, and Ryan nodded. Theon just looked elsewhere at an invisible interesting item.
"Ok, let's forget it this time." Theon said abruptly. "but something else is missing, and the crystals don't quite cut it." he frowned. "anymore secrets, please spill them now."
"i have one..."
"i've kept something..."
Wan and Sheri looked at each other. "you first." they said at the same time. Ryan slapped his forehead. "oh come on." he said. Faye laughed. Jean started laughing with her.
"i can only tell you when the time is right..."
"i can't really tell you this yet..."
stares.
"we need any information to find this jumper." Theon said, irritated, but Wan stopped him. "sorry, but i really can't tell you this. and i think Sheri knows what i do. so we wait for any news of the jumper to find him. no predictions." she said firmly. Theon looked disgruntled as he frowned behind his fingers. "this way it'll take longer..." Faye said, "but i suppose if there is a jmper we'll hear about it. like what happened last time..." she glanced at Wan.
"like what Wan said..." Ryan said, recalling last night.

"What?!!" was pretty much the unanimous reply to what Wan had said.
"it's true. my brother is adopted. he was a previous jumper. he even has the accent of the people in his Dimension, number 427." she told them. "i don't believe this. i thought you were hiding something... but this... this is..." Sheri stuttered.
"i know. but listen up, i need to tell you some stuff he told me." Wan said, and everyone was all ears now. "my brother told me some stuff about jumping because he probably never thought about me getting involved in this stuff." Wan took a deep breath.
"a long time ago, he came into our world when he was 12. this was because he was the heir to a family which was being hunted down by assasins due to their wealth, and so to protect him, his parents sent him to our dimension. when this happened, there was alot of fuss because it was early in the morning when something like 2 doors were seen appearing in the sky and a Human standing at the ledge before jumping. there was even footage of it." Wan waited for a question. when there was none, she continued.
"he did his best to change his appearance, and succeeded. he had his hair cut, his clothes changed and deliberately left himself outside the doors of an orphanage to seek refuge. my parents happened to adopt him as an elder brother for me and my sister. when this happened, he accepted it greatly and entered out household. it was only in the past 2 years i realised he wasn't like other teenagers, and when i asked him why he stayed cooped up at home instead of going out clubbing and getting girls, he said, 'i'm different.' and then he started telling me all about his dimension and the theory of the tunnels."
"so are our theories correct?" Theon interuppted. "yes, they are. except for the missing numbers." Wan said, before stopping. "i'm sort of done." she announced.
the questions poured.
***
"i'm sure of it. there must have been someone who had seen the jumper. he couldn't have gotten by without anyone seeing him." Ryan concluded. Jean nodded.
"we could go out after school to source out locations of very recent paranormal sightings." Faye suggested. Theon nodded. "we could do that." he considered.
"i say we go with Faye's suggestion, and then we go investigate at the latest site if we have the time." Wan said. Sheri raised her hand. "if you guys don't want to go to the library, i think my mum wouldn't mind you guys at my place. she thinks you're a good influence." she rolled her eyes. Faye giggled.
"great, it's settled then. everyone meets up here," Jean pointed at the foyer floor, "after school, and we walk back to Sheri's place."
"oh brilliant. Maths now." Wan complained. Ryan and Theon followed them up the staircase as Jean and Faye went to the other one across the hall. "my heart bleeds for you." Ryan said, grinning as they went up a higher floor.
Wan and Sheri scrowled.
